PLEASE TAKE NOTE BECAUSE YOUR PHONE CALLS DRIVE US POTTY! If a listed title
has more than one number, or has brackets with letters in it after the
title, i.e, 2876(ABC), then it means that particular title is on is on more
than one disk, i.e, a title with 2 or more numbers or letters after it, is
on 2 or more disks and costs the price of 2 or more disks etc.
Codes in front of a disk number will tell you what machine they run on:-
A + sign means that a title works fine on the A500+, A600 and the A1200.
Anything with an X in at the start is AGA (A1200 & A4000) only.
After disk "2700" we dropped A500 compatibility, although some may still
work on the A500 after this we don't test them nowadays.
You can now use the scroll gadgets to quickly skip through the text, you
can also use the search facility from the pull down menus so you don't
have to read several thousand lines of my quality crap reviews! Have fun
reading!
pre 2700 = 1mb A500 + = A500+/A600/1200 X = A1200 only

+6 PROBE DEMO
-------------
Perhaps one of the most popular discs ever to be placed in the public-
domain. This shows an imaginary sequence recorded from a space craft as it
journeys into an uncharted region and onto a strange planet where there have
been reports of life. An entertaining and interesting use of digitised black &
white graphics and created with The Director. No sound.
7 RGB/FOCUS
-----------
There are another two demos created with The Director on this disc, one of
them RGB is a competition winner. RGB is a humourous animation of the effects
of the user from using a VDU.. strange and very clever use of digitised
graphics. Focus is another strange demo that applies an imaginary scientific
rule to random numbers with some weird results...
11 CAT/BARON/WIREFRAME
----------------------
Another classic animation in the form of the Sullivan/Bluth cat! An
excellent digitised cat in a frame runs along as the frame rotates around
360 degrees. Also on the disk is a demo for Videoscape of a Biplane flying
in and out of the screen in 3D. Also included is a very nice vector graphics
demo that is only a few K in size and is REAL TIME (i.e. the vectors are
calculated and drawn 50 times every second).
+16 SCULPT 3D ANIMS
-------------------
Perhaps one of THE classic PD discs containing one of the most popular and
often used animations; Khanakas. There are three animations: KHANAKAS a
superb HAM animation of Newtons Cradle (the executive toy with the balls on
strings that proves the Kinetic theory [all the rage about 10yrs ago]).
ROCKING CHAIR another excellent HAM animation of guess what...yup! a
rocking chair! F15: a wire frame animation of a fighter plane, unfortunatly
just in wire frames.
+17 SCULPT 3D ANIMS
-------------------
Four excellent animations in a similar mould to the ones above. BIRD: a
gorgeous bird ray traced in all its glory in the the action of flapping its
wings. BIRDS: One of our favourite animations showing a large AMIGA in solid
3D lettering with 3 birds circling around.(Complete with sound). BOING: A
simple but nice animation of a bouncing Amiga ball in HAM mode of course!
BOINGORBIT: An imaginary spaceship in orbit around a planet which is an Amiga
ball (the red/white chequered ball which seems to have been adopted by the
Amiga fraternity as a symbol of Amiga).
+29 MACHINE ANIM
----------------
An animation created with Videoscape 3D, this features an imaginary machine
type thing with lots of moving parts (including the obligatory Amiga ball)
and is very nice.
+30 BERSERK ANIM
----------------
Another Videoscape animation which is very strange. It shows three unicycles
being bounced off a ball.
+31 CAR ANIM
------------
The famous car demo which apparentley forms some kind of reference to the
inside dealings of companies in the States. It features an innocent unicycle
just trying to cross the road but it gets run over by a speeding supercar and
bounces off the road.
63 JUGGLER
----------
A mixed-bag of graphical goodies ranging from the classics like JUGGLER and
ROBO animation that really got people gibbering and squirming all those
years ago. Includes Blitter Demo (nice), Boing, Sproing, Colorful, Zoing,
Drive Music (make your disk-drive sing!), Fractals, Robo, Juggler and the
rather nice Nemesis planet demo.
70 THAMES DEMO
--------------
A nice disk containing 4 classic demos, including The Thames TV animation,
HB Hill, The Boing Machine and Marketroid.
78 ANIMATIONS
-------------
More videoscape animations:- F15 2 jets that circle and fly out of the
screen. GTV1 and GTV2 are animations based around the Granada TV Logo and
are nicely done. Spacecraft a spacecraft that flies and rotates, nice.
Trek the enterprise flies past at great speed. For more really great Star
Trek animations check out the discs by Tobias Richter
+81 NEWTEK DEMO REEL
--------------------
One of the now classic Amiga demos produced by Newtek, producers of
Digipaint and Digiview as well as DigiFX. This one requires 2 drives and 1meg
of memory. A slideshow/product demo/animation all rolled into one. Features
great music and even better graphics.
+82 NEWTEK DEMO REEL
--------------------
Disk 2 of above.
+84 COKEMAN AND SMURF
---------------------
2 nice animations, the first is of a man made out of a coke can who
revolves. It's a HAM animation with clever reflection effects and the
illusion that it is metal is very good. The smurf animation features a
smurf walking along with the camera panning around it.
85 EXPLODING HEAD ANIM
----------------------
2 sick pieces of animation on here. The now famous exploding head demo
and another of a bloke chopping some poor chaps arm off.
95 TAA BALL ANIM
----------------
The TAA Ball animation. Gorgeous animation of 3 spheres that rotate on a
mirrored plate. Excellent shading of the balls and how the reflections
are calculated. 1.2 machines only.
138 AEGIS DEMOS
---------------
Disk contains animations created with Aegis animator. Includes a jet
animation and a lander demo. Disk also includes a workable demo of Aegis
Draw, a CAD program.
+148 KNIGHT ANIM
----------------
Brilliant 1meg/1meg+ animation of a digitised knight set to music. Superb!
Full screen knight appears out of a book and waves his sword about! doesn't
sound very good i know but the graphics are really good!
+220 2MEG WALKER DEMO
---------------------
The amazing Walker Demo! This is the two disk two megabyte version. This shows
an incredibly detailed and well animated AT-AT vehicle walking by the side of
a B2000, looking round and shooting complete with sound FX, has to be one of
the best demos available for the Amiga. Created by Bill Williams of
Imaginetics.
+221 2MEG WALKER DEMO
---------------------
Disk two of the above demo.
236 BUNSON BURNER
-----------------
A videoscape animation created by P.Warnes. Nice use of Dpaint and Videoscape
and is a tongue in cheek stab at Interceptor. The main animation shows an F15
flying through a ravine and having a close shave with another. Nicely put
together.
+240 LUXO TEENAGER
------------------
Excellent Luxor Teenager animation, a sequel to the award winning animation
on a mainframe. It is based on the antics of two angle-poise lamps, a large
one and a mischeavious smaller one who is playing with a ball. Produced
with Sculpt 4D. Very good HAM graphics, very smooth moving.
+253 WALKER DEMO II TRAILER
---------------------------
The excellent intro for Walker Demo II, note that although this is a
trailer it is a full demo! It depicts an AT-AT attacking downtown Chicago,
and a helicopter making a brave stand, but does it succeed? Find out in Walker
Demo II.
+254 WALKER DEMO II TRAILER
---------------------------
Disk two of the above demo.
+255 1 MEG WALKER
-----------------
The 1meg version of the above. In fact you don't really lose a great deal,
a few sound effects and approx 5-6 seconds of animation including the
helicopter bit. Still a fantastic demo and definatly one for the collectors.
+262 WALKER DEMO
----------------
The original version where the AT-AT walks by the side of a B2000. Great
demo and definately one for your collection
263 MIX
-------
Contains a very nice walking legs animation as well as two pieces of music
and three intros by TLB.
+290 ZOETROPE DEMO
------------------
A new animation package using yet another format (RIF) that allows you to
use anim files from just about any machine/format including cyber studio
ones from the ST and .anim Amiga files. Included on the disk are five
animations the best of which is the Skeleton doing the backflip. Also
includes Zoedemo 1 (a cutey creature that wobbles and falls over), Dinonew
a simple animation, Li`l Guy another cutey guy. Backflip (need 1meg for
the whole flip!) and Zoesparklet 3D text animation.
+305 AGATRON ANIM #11

Tron getting crushed by a deactivator.

robot animations, a spaceship animation and Workbee.
+317 DESIGN 3D DEMO

A nice full-screen demo of the CAD package. Looks very easy to use and
is an excellent demo as it shows you quite a few examples as well as exactly
how something is created (all mouse movements have been recorded and played
back). Includes the facility to create animation files, copes with 16
colours, light shading etc.

---------------------
More Agatron animations by Tobias Richter this time of the space shuttle
orbiting, 3 Klingons and a Knox ship revolving.
+333 AGATRON ANIMS #9
---------------------
A massive Star Wars animation that is so big that it needs to be run from
CLI (no space for commands on the disc), you will need a showanim command
(on all the Agatron discs) and to read the `read.me` on the disk for full
instructions, if you have 2 drives then its really quite simple to get the
animation going. But at the moment it will not auto-run. We did this rather
than put it out on 2 discs.
+334 AGATRON ANIMS #8
---------------------
Another huge Star Wars animation that is very spectacular and another of
Tobias`s Videoscape creations.
+371 AGATRON ANIMS #16
----------------------
Another Agatron animation this time created with Dpaint III, its a 2D
animation showing how you could present something using the package. Not
quite as stunning as Tobias`s 3D Videoscape stuff but good none-the-less.
Of course its about Star-Trek!
+372 AGATRON ANIMS #17
----------------------
Another of Tobias Richters Star Trek creations, this features a Reliant and
an Enterprise in combat. The enterprise moves slowly above and behind and
shoots the reliant, rocking it. Very nicely done, huge 3D graphics,
smooth action. Also on the disk is a robot animation where the robot is
walking along.
+373 AGATRON ANIMS #18
----------------------
More Tobias Richter animations created with Videoscape, the first is a
fairly basic 2D animation of 2 Star-Trek craft passing each other in space.
Also on the disk is a very good animation of a craft flying toward a
planet. The camera angle swings round bringing the craft into view very
neatly and cleverly done.
+374 AGATRON ANIMS #15
----------------------
Yet more animations from Tobias Richter, this time theres not a Star-Trek
animation to be seen! The first one is a billiard/pool table and shows an
animated sequence, again its well done. Also are two animations of a road,
where a lotus and an F-15 fly down.
+406 FROG ANIMATION
-------------------
The Frog animation, many may have had this on the cover disk of Amiga format
but this disk has extra sound effects and features for 1meg owners such as
the daft speech done by me, and a few digitised effects. Music is Never
Ending Story courtesy of Allister Brimble.

These 2 discs require 2 Meg (or more) of memory and a hard drive is

can produce using Newteks range of software and Hardware. Theres some great
little animations with synchronised sampled sounds & effects and the first

6 rather gruesome animations from these Norwegian sickos!! Watch various

one is quite funny to watch at fast speed after a couple of bevs.

**********THE BEST NON-CARTOON ANIM EVER*************
+2754ABCD LAST STAND ON HOTH ANIM (3 MEG REQUIRED)
--------------------------------------------------
This is the best non-cartoon anim EVER!!!!!!!!! Written by the master
himself Craig Collins. The story is basically following on from where the
Star Wars series left and shows what happened to the AT-ATS and the rebel
bases. All done in black and white and with no sound this doesn't sound like
much BUT SEEING IS BELIEVING and you MUST BUY IT NOW. (4 S) The
animation of the AtAts is just truely outstanding and everything about the
anim just oozes sheer class.
***********THE BEST NON-CARTOON ANIM EVER**************

-------------------------------------
A reasonable animation demonstrating the perilous and sometimes dangerous

**1.5MB REQUIRED**
+2782 WELCOME TO THE MACHINE
----------------------------
4 animations with varying degrees of quality in the Carl.Inc mould. Just a
single screen for each anim with loads of stuff going on in each one. The
anims include Krazy Kontraptions & Gerbil Power among others. Fun for a bit
+2799(ABCD) HEADING FOR HOME
----------------------------
This 4 disk raytraced animation is only around 10 seconds long. A lot of
people wouldnt give it the time of day, but take a look at the amount of
time and effort gone into it and it is quite good. Basically it is a
spaceship flying to his home (a space station) detoring around a couple of
planets and then docking. On a fast machine it don't half shift.
**3 MB REQ**
+2829(AB) CD32 REVIEW
---------------------
An excellently humorous animation featuring the Star Trek crew examining
what the think is an unidentified object on there scanners. In actual
fact, they find out its a CD32. Sampled speech all the way through and it
lasts for quite some time.
**2 DRIVES RECOMMENDED**
+2852 DEATH WALK ANIM
---------------------
Very very very sick. Not recommended for kids whose parents are really
miserable old gits and don't let them watch the latest horror films.
Knackers to Mary Whitehouse, (thats what i say). Anyway, on with the show.
An interesting animation of a man who commits suicide while a crowd watch.
First he blows his head off and then.....buy it and see. The hot dog stands
are a very nice touch. Youll laugh your rocks off.
**1.5 MB REQUIRED**
+2853 SUICIDE MAN 2

Suicide Man is back again in yet another sick anim. This time he
resorts to scaling a cliff and then blowing his head off much to the
amusement of the watching audience. Not recommended for children.
**1.5 MB REQUIRED**
+2854 LEMMINGS SHOW
-------------------
In the prequel to Death Walk, suicide man is here again. Excellent
animation, consisting of suicide man, some Lemmings, and a chain saw. Very
very sick. (But we loved em all)
**1.5 MB REQUIRED**
+2871(AB) DANGEROUS SPORTS CLUB
-------------------------------
An anim about some silly men jumping out of a plane and getting caught up
with a pigeon.
+2872(ABCD) MEAN CD MACHINE
---------------------------
I heralded Disk 2754 the best animation ever seen. Well, the latest release
from the same animator, Mr Craig Collins, equals if not betters his last
effort. Comparing the Mega CD, CD-i and CD32 and promoting them as racing
cars, each one shows its good and bad points and eventually drops out of
the race. (A bit like the Duracell advert). Eventually the CD32 romps home
to victory.
**3.5 MB REQ**
+2922(AB) CHARLEY CAT 2:DOWN AT THE SEA
---------------------------------------
The second outing for our good friend Charley the Cat. This time, Charley
has decided to spend a nice quiet (?) day at the beach (durrr!). Nothing
unusual about that, except that his girlfriend Alyson is there sunning
herself. Unfortunately for him, so is his arch-enemy Tiger who starts
making trouble for him again. A fantastic animation!! Just like Scwartz.
**2 MB REQUIRED**
+2923(AB) CHARLEY CAT 6:AT THE FLIX
-----------------------------------
In Charleys latest escapade he decides to take a trip to the cinema. Great
graphics and sound make this a brilliant animation to watch. Anthony
Whitaker (the author) just gets better and better. This animated feature
requires 2.0Mb to run, and extra drives are definitely recommended, though
not essential.
+2925(ABC) CHARLEY CAT 3:HOW TO CATCH A CANARY
----------------------------------------------
Strange, the third anim in the series coming after the sixth. Thats because
we at 17 Bit are all escaped loonys and like to do things the wrong way
round. In this brilliant animation, Charley has decided to stay at home
and have a go at catching his owner's new pet canary. But does he catch
it? Well, you'll have to check this cartoon out in order to find out.
This animated feature requires 3.0Mb to run, and extra drives are definitely
recommended, though not essential.
+2927(ABCD) CHARLEY CAT 4:MOUSTERMIND
-------------------------------------
Another great cartoon style anim from Anthony Whitaker. This is the fourth
episode of the adventures of Charley. In this escapade, Charleys house has
become infested with mice. Will he succeed. Buy it and find out. This
animated feature requires 3.5Mb to run, and extra drives are definitely
recommended, though not essential.
+2970(ABCD) CHARLEY CAT 8:DANDRUFF DUO
--------------------------------------
Yet more amazing quality stuff from Mr Whitaker featuring yet again,
Charley Cat. In this, his latest adventure, Charley has got the dreaded
dandruff. He tries to get rid of the dreadful stuff, but does he succeed?
Watch the cartoon and find out. This animated feature requires 3.5Mb to
run, and extra drives are definitely recommended, though not essential.
+2974 G.I SPY
-------------
The guy who created Charley the Cat is back with his latest animation. This
particular one is a more serious story, and features a spy named Gerald
Ingham and his arch-enemy Sly Silvo. This cartoon requires 3Mb of RAM to
run. Oh, and I advise you to use a second disk drive or a hard drive to
minimize on disk-swapping, but it can still be run on a single-drive
machine.
+2982(ABC) A CHARLEY CAT CHRISTMAS
----------------------------------
Well bugger me sideways. These Charley Cat anims are popping up left right
and centre in this latest update to the cat disk. Thats cause he sent us em
all at one go.This is just pure Christmas-related slapstick and perhaps
touching too. There isn't really a plot and because christmas is miles away
i don't expect many of you to buy the damn thing but it reaches the usual high
standards of A.W. This animated cartoon requires 2Mb of memory to run, and an
external drive or hard drive is certainly worth using to minimize on
disk-swapping.
+2983(ABC) CHARLEY CAT 7:IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH
--------------------------------------------------
Aaaaarggghhh. Another bloody cat animation. I hate cats. Maybe we should
call this a Charley CAT disk*. In this animation, Charley has caught a cold,
and Jarrod (his owner) insists that he sees the vet. But it's there that the
problems start...Thats all you get to know. The anim requires 3MB of RAM
and it is essential that you have an external or hard drive.
* That was a very shite joke and i take full responsibility for it.Sorry.
+3026 FLYING LESSONS
--------------------
A brilliant anim by Steve Attewell done in the style of the old Roobarb
cartoons. At first the anim looks like its been knocked up in 5 minutes but
you will soon realise that a great deal of effort has gone into it. The
action is set around a little blob (his name escapes me) who insists on
trying various ways to get airborne. Brilliant.
+3097 ALIEN PATROL
------------------
A good anim from the author of Suicide Man. This time he has taken a
different approach and gone for a space adventure anim. It follows the
story of a space ship that embarks on a mission only to come across some
unfriendly foes in the area. It's good but not as good as suicide man.

+3098 SUICIDE MAN 3
-------------------
He's back again punters. The loony who doesn't know when to stop. You thought
he was dead but here's suicide man again having a go at trying to top
himself by jumping off a very high platform and losing his head in the
bargain much to the crowds enjoyment. Brilliant pre-quel.

+3114(ABCDE) CHARLEY CAT 9:CORAL QUARREL
----------------------------------------
Yes, Charley Cat, the world's most ferocious feline,is back for more cat
antics. In CORAL QUARREL, he's back on the beach, this time hoping to
relax more than in DOWN AT THE SEA, the second CC anim. I suppose you
could call this a semi-sequel to that. But he's got some familiar problems
to face, as Tiger (his arch-enemy) once again tries to muscle in on his
girlfriend Alyson. And all he wanted to do was surf and relax!
The anim is on 5 disks and requires 4.5MB of RAM to run. Hard drive or
external drive(s) strongly recommended.
+3182 MORPHY THE MAGICIAN
-------------------------
This is the 2 MB version of the Morphy Magician anim. This version will
work on ALL machines. It is exactly the same only running in a lower
resolution and with less colours by the looks of it.

+3251 THE GOLFERS GUIDE
-----------------------
A brilliant animation by the author of the Suicide Man series. It revolves
around certain dirty and nasty goings on to cheat and win at golf. If you
are a fan of Suicide Man, then you must get this disk.
** 1.5 MB RAM REQ **
+3303 REVENGE ANIMATION
-----------------------
A reasonable cartoon style anim all the way from down under. Simliar to
RoadHog, it tells the story of an over ambitious driver battling against an
army of hedghogs.
** 2 MB Req **
+3337(ABCDE) CHARLEY CAT 10:JAP CAT JAPES
-----------------------------------------
The latest in a long line of cartoon anims starring Charley Cat. This one
sees him getting involved with an escaped Japanese cat who is an expert in
karate. It lasts for ages. Even longer then some cartoons on TV. The gfx
are excellent although the sound is a bit ropey, but you can still follow
the story. There are 2 versions on here for different memory requirements
but you need at least 2.5MB minimum.
+3559 DESERT ISLAND DICK
------------------------
A good black and white anim about the comical adventures of a man on a
desert island. Lasts for about 5 mins.
+3615(ABCD) CHARLEY CAT 11:GARDENING CAT
----------------------------------------
Another superb anim from Andrew Whittaker featuring the loveable feline
Charley. In GARDENING CAT, Charley has to put up with some of the usual
garden terrors while his owner Jarrod lazes away in bed. Most of these terrors
are caused by two perishing moles who make a real mess of the lawn! If
you have seen the other anims in this series, then you know the quality, if
you haven't seen any of them and you would like a good anim, then get this.
** 2.5MB REQUIRED ** ** HARD DRIVE RECCOMENDED **
+3812 GARFIELD ANIM (WHY DO YOU HATE MONDAYS ?)
-----------------------------------------------
This short animation is based on Two short stories from book No.2 in the
Garfield paperback series. The gfx and sound fx are very good. Nice one for
kids.
+3813 MR GREEDY
---------------
This is another animation based on one of the Mr Men books. It tells the
story of Mr Greedy meeting a giant. Excellent entertainment for the kids.

+3900(ABCDEF) CHARLEY CAT #12:COWBOY CATS
-----------------------------------------
This is the latest CHARLEY CAT cartoon, the twelfth in the series, and
Charley is in the Wild West this time, along with his two feline sidekicks,
Jake (an overall poser) and Ricky (mad on gunpower). Their adversary is
Tiger, the yellow striped cat from the first, second, fifth, eighth and
ninth cartoons who pestered Charley relentlessly, usually trying to suck up
to his girlfriend Alyson. This cartoon has been split into four parts, each
requiring 2Mb. Yes! This is open to ALL A1200 users!
+4011(ABCD) CHARLEY CAT 13:CAMERA-RADERIE
-----------------------------------------
Charley and his beautiful girlfriend Alyson take their cameras and try to
win a competition in which a grand can be won if their picture is considered to
be the best entry. However, being a cat-hater, the evil dog Mutch (who was
last seen in JAP CAT JAPES), is out to get them - and no, he will not treat
Alyson any differently as she is still a cat - and Mutch absolutely LOATHES
cats! This is another fantastic cartoon style animation from Andrew
Whittaker. If you like Eric Schwartz anims, then get this and all the
others in the series as well. This one lasts for about 4.5 minutes.
The anim is on 4 disks and requires 2.5MB of RAM to run. Hard drive or
external drive(s) strongly recommended.
+4047(AB) STARTREKKIN
----------------------
An animation, and a pretty crap one at that.
+4117 MIDGET MASSACRE
---------------------
A lemmings style series of animations with the little blighters being
murdered in various ways. Excellent little anim.
+4171(AB) CARLY CAT QUICKIE 2
-----------------------------
This movie setter animation is yet another one featuring are almost famous
charly cat. This time charly is very thirsty as it is very hot, the cartoon
has a rather yuckie, but humorous ending! Short but funny! You'll need 2Mb
to run the cartoon, and a second drive is useful but not essential. The 2nd
disk has a nice bonus animation that may be useful for those of you
interested in creating your own Dpaint anims. Good disk set!
+4488(AB) CHARLEY CAT QUICKIE 4
-------------------------------
Hello, again, everyone! Still got your Amigas? Good! 'Cos I've got here
another cartoon starring Charley Cat, Anthony Whitakers star creation (and
good friend, I suppose) and overall dude of British cats. Yes, this fourth
Quickie (which I never thought I'd do in light of recent Amiga problems) is
here, and with it comes a new character! The basic story is that Charley's
preparing a romantic meal so that he and his beautiful fiancée Alyson can
dine together. Trouble is, he's got no fish left, so he must somehow get
hold of a suitable one. And he's got a new enemy to get around in order to
do it - a greyhound guard-dog named Scooter!
